convention - day 1 (part one)

Better this time than never to get started back up on my blog!! Have you missed me?!

If you aren't following me on Facebook, just thought you should know that I am currently in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Stampin' Up! Convention! What a fabulous treat for me to be able to enjoy this awesome experience! This is my first Convention and with Stampin' Up! celebrating 25 YEARS...what a great one to be at!

My upline, Andrea, and I arrived on Wednesday night after a short plane ride and checked into our hotel right next door to the Salt Palace Convention Center. The city lights were awesome (even through the window of our balcony since the sliding door wouldn't open!)

This morning we enjoyed breakfast at the Blue Lemon with some other friends from Oregon. We decided to fill up on a yummy plate of protein since we knew we had a long day ahead of us!

Next up was headed to the Convention Center to pick up our t-shirts!! Here is the logo for this year's Convention theme which is pretty much printed everywhere!

And then it was time to wait in a LONG line to hop on a bus to head to the Stampin' Up! home office...there's a lot of us crazy stamper ladies (and guys!) here in Salt Lake City! LOL! ;)

On our way...we got to be in the front seat ~ first off the bus!

We got photo bombed by Melanie from Missouri behind us and we all got a kick out of it. I told her she should have done something a little more crazy! We have met some pretty sweet fellow demos (and a few cranky ones, too ~ yikes!)

 We arrived and walked through the front door to this display! How gorgeous!!

We walked through the Legacy Museum with so many inspiring things to see. I'll share more later, but here are a few of my favorites...
 {Shelli, the co-founder and CEO, with her hubby!}
 A quick stop to see the Distribution Center...
...where we spotted some of our fellow Oregonian friends!

 And then a stroll through Demo Support where some of them left us a little message.

Then we went outside to the entrance to get the infamous "rock" picture!! Yay...finally our turn!

And then it was back to the hotel for a quick lunch and off to wait in line for Opening Session in the evening. But for now...I'm exhausted and it's an early morning tomorrow, so it's off to bed I go!
