My own creation on CPC...Teacher Survival Kit & BLOG CANDY!

It's time!! I finally get to share the project I created for Craft Project Central this month! I really wanted to come up with something that my daughter could give to her new teacher on her first day of Kindergarten to help kick off the year on a positive note and I came up with this "Teacher Survival Kit" box. The matching card is a great addition in helping your child’s teacher feel encouraged as they begin a new year. As a former teacher, I would have loved a little something like this to make me feel special on my first day! This little box would also be fun to fill with other little goodies, like different kinds of candy…making it the perfect sweet treat! The detailed step-by-step tutorial includes directions for creating the box, lid (created out of a window sheet), and inserts used as "dividers" for all the little goodies. It also includes a description/meaning behind each little item included in this "teacher's survival kit".

My creation is this month's BONUS project on Craft Project Central. All you need to do is subscribe to August (only $10 a month for 10 tutorials!) and meet one of the other bonus project requirements of either "subscribing to two or more months in a row, putting our badge/blinkie on your blog, or referring a friend and letting us know when they subscribe!"

And, guess what?

I'm giving away a FREE AUGUST SUBSCRIPTION to Craft Project Central to one lucky winner! All you need to do is leave a comment for each of the following three chances to win:

1) Leave a comment on this post before Thursday, August 25th sharing your favorite "back to school" tip, moment, tradition, excitement, etc.

2) You will get one extra entry, if you find another post that inspires you on this blog and leave a comment there. No need to come back to this post to tell me that you did that. I'll keep track.

3) Want ONE MORE chance to win? "Follow" my blog by adding your name to the left hand column under "Members" and click on "Join this Site". If you are already a follower, just leave me a comment. If you're new and just began following, leave me a comment, too. I will add wither one as an extra entry!

A random winner will be announced next Friday, August 26th!

P.S. I was sooooo sad to see one of my most favorite stamp sets Tart & Tangy retire in June, but Stampin' Up! didn't disappoint in the new catalog as they brought in a new possible favorite called Fruit & Flowers! This set includes the cutest little apple with a heart in the center as you see above in the picture of the project I created. What's even better? They have matching Designer Series Paper for this stamp set called Berry Blossoms!! How fun is that?! And, why not stock up on some of your favorite paper by taking part in this month's promotion...buy 3 packs of paper, get 1 free!!

How cute is that!? I LOVE the adorable (little apples) paper. This would make a very useful gift for friends or a great project for my own home office.

LOVE that Designer Series Paper. Just got some. Now I need to get the coordinating stamp set. I was a Tart & Tangy lover but this set is even cuter. What a fun first day of school present! Definitely a way to make a great 1st impression with the teacher. Spoiling teachers is fun! My favorite back to school tradition is getting a special 1st day of school outfit.

What a wonderful idea! I just might have to make something similar for the girls' teachers. OMG, just realized I'll have TWO teachers to worry about this year! :-) Oh...I'm already a follower...

When I was teaching my favorite thing at the beginning of the year was doing bulletin boards and getting the classroom ready. In fact, I helped one of my teacher friends with her bulletin boards today. :)

My sons school is a small catholic school and we always get teachers that are just starting out so I like to send a small "welcome to SGPS" gift on the first day. This is perfect for that. I would love to follow ou but can't see where to join. Nothing says "members" and the "followers" section is totally blank.:( What a bummer

All of your posts inspire me. However I have to say the Christmas projects you do inspire me the most.

Noticed I waited to make this comment so I had a "different" chance to win...will it work??

My favorite back to school moment before I had kids of my own, was getting my classroom together. I loved heading back to decorate it, get my handouts organized, etc.

Now following your inspiring stamping blog too...besides BEB and "stalking" you on FB :)
